Rotherham United defender Mat Sadler has returned to the New York Stadium after his loan spell with Oldham Athletic has finished.

Mat joined the Millers from Crawley in the summer but made only one appearance in a Rotherham shirt, which was against Swansea in the Capital One Cup, before returning on loan to his former club.

Playing twelve times for Crawley Mat returned to the Millers in November and found himself back out on loan in March at Oldham where he has made eight appearances, the last one being in their two-all draw with Sheffield United on Saturday, coming off the bench for the second half.

Dean Holden Manager at Oldham told their Official Site that the thirty year old had been a ‘model professional and a good influence around the place.`
