Rotherham United winger Ryan Williams said that despite scoring the opening goal on Saturday, the pitch at Oldham didn’t suit the way the Millers play.

Speaking after the Millers got an away point at Boundary Park, the Australian told iFOLLOW, ‘We ground it out, played scruffy and got a point.

‘Yes, if we’d have got three points we’d have been up there but we’ll take a point away from home.

‘We’re unbeaten in seven and, to be fair, most of those haven’t been pretty games but we’ve dug in which shows what spirit we’ve got in the dressing room.

‘Oldham’s goal was their only shot and they didn’t really pull us apart. We’ve got Bally (David Ball) up front and we need to get the ball to his feet and we didn’t really do that today but we got a point and I’m happy.’

Asked about the play-offs, the twenty-four year old said, ‘We’re not really looking that far ahead.’
