Rotherham United`s latest signing, defender, Ryan Cresswell says that he is happy to be back with the Millers.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, about his move to the Millers from Bury, the twenty-two year old said, ‘I think it was time for a change.`

After speaking to Nicky Law and Jamie Annerson, who he played with at Sheffield United, Ryan said, ‘They both spoke highly of everything that`s happening here and I wanted to be involved in that. The manager sold the club very well to me and was disappointed that they hadn`t gone up but everything`s in place to progress this season.`

Ryan was on loan with the Millers three years ago and says he enjoyed his time with the Millers then but thinks he is a better player now. ‘I`ve grown up physically,` he said, ‘and matured a lot. I`m more mentally aware of the game now.

Talking about his strengths, the former Sheffield United defender said, ‘I`m a centre-half and I like to win the ball and head it, I`m aggressive, win a tackle and hopefully play out from the back a bit For the last couple of years I`ve gone up front and been a target man which has come off a couple of times and it did do last time I played here.

‘They`re a strong team here with a lot of quality from back to front and I think, next season, there will be more expectation which we will thrive on.`

And his hopes for next season for Rotherham United, ‘To go one better, push on and get promoted.`
