Rotherham United striker, Ryan Taylor has today signed for Bristol City – subject to the Football League clearance.

Ryan began his career with the Millers coming through the Youth ranks and made his debut for the first team in December 2005.  The following season he was establishing himself in the side before he became ill with glandular fever which stopped him playing again until the end of the season.  In 2007 Ryan went out on loan to Burton Albion for a month and went out again, on loan, to Exeter in March last year until the end of the season, coming back to the Millers in time for the play-off games where he scored two goals at Wembley in the final.

Last season Ryan scored twelve goals in thirty-seven games for Rotherham.

It is understood that the twenty-three year old has signed a three-year contract with the Robins, though with Ryan being under twenty-four, it hasn’t been disclosed if Bristol City will agree to pay an undisclosed fee to Rotherham for the out of contract striker, or go to a Football League tribunal to decide the fee.

All at Vital Rotherham wishes Ryan well for his future
