Rotherham United are thought to be interested in fetching in a wide man for next years campaign in League One and on their radar is reported to be Ashley Vincent of fellow promotion side Port Vale.

Although predominantly a winger the twenty-seven year old is just as happy playing up front learning his trade with Wolverhampton at both Youth and Reserve team level.

Ashley has played for Cheltenham and Colchester before moving to Port Vale in July last year where he made forty appearances scoring eight goals including one in the six-two drubbing of the Millers at Vale Park in September.

Micky Adams at Vale has offered the West Midlands born winger a new deal which you would expect him to agree to – but then, we all know how persuasive Steve Evans can be.
