Rotherham United Nostalgia Society`s guest speaker this month is Tony Simmons.

Stocksbridge born Tony was a speedy striker who played for the Millers from 1984 to 1986. In his first season he scored eight goals in eighteen games helping Rotherham pull away from the relegation places. The following season he was leading scorer with just twelve goals.

He began his career with Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Queens Park Rangers from where he joined the Millers. From Rotherham he went to play for Lincoln City and Cardiff City.

The meeting is held at The Green Dragon at Kimberworth and is on Thursday, 9th September starting at 8.30pm. All Welcome
