Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is hoping he can hold onto midfielder Mark Randall when his loan spell is up at the end of the month.

Twenty-one year old Randall joined the Millers, from Premiership Arsenal, in October on a three month loan, scoring his first goal for Rotherham in the five-nil win over Port Vale on New Years Day.

Speaking to The Advertiser, Moore said, ‘Mark isn`t fully match fit yet and he sometimes thinks he`s still playing for Arsenal when he gets the ball and takes his time. Suddenly someone will come and whack him and he`s not used to that because Premier League players have more time on the ball which you don`t get at this level. He`ll learn.`

Team mate, Marcus Marshall said he wasn`t surprised with Randall`s super strike against Port Vale, saying, ‘His technique is outstanding and that`s why he is where he is and he`s a great asset to the team. I`ve seen him in training and he`s got a great ping on it and he`s clever. He`s elusive and it`s hard to get near him.`

Asked if he will be extending Randall`s loan, Moore said, ‘We will talk to the lad and see how he is on his fitness and take it from there. We`ve got time to think about it.`

As a fan, I’d like to see Randall sign for the rest of the season. It can do the other players no harm playing alongside someone who has been brought up playing the ‘Wenger way’.
