Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has opened talks about a new deal with striker Reuben Reid even though the twenty year old still has a year of his contract left.

‘He’s improved what is his first full year of senior action,’ Robins told The Star, ‘and although there is still room for improvement he still has a lot to learn. Reuben has undoubted ability and he has the potential to play higher. Provided he continues to work hard and improve then he will do that and we hope it’s with Rotherham United.’

Reuben was born in Bristol and his football career began in 2005 with Plymouth Argyle who he played just seven games for in 3 years. He had loans to several clubs including Rochdale, Torquay and Brentford before joining the Millers last summer. He is the clubs top scorer with nineteen goals at the moment.
