Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has sent a clear message to new striker, Jamie Clarke that simply says, ‘prove it.’

Clarke, who joined on transfer deadline day from Blackburn Rovers, has been given a contract by the club until the end of the season and he told The Star that this is an opportunity for him to show what he can do. ‘The manager has seen me a few times and decided I have something to offer,’ the twenty year old said. ‘I’ve got a few months here and it’s up to me to back that up.’

Robins told The Advertiser, ‘He’s young, hungry and wants to do well. He’s quick and plays down the middle though he can also play wide and we will have to take a look at him in that position. It’s a good deal for Rotherham United and Jamie has to prove that he’s worth a longer one.’
