Rotherham United ex Manager, Mark Robins says that, although he has left to go to Barnsley, Rotherham will hold a place close to him. After the will-he, won’t-he; has-he, hasn’t-he of the last few days I think everyone is relieved that the deal has now been completed and we can all settle down to our new lives – Barnsley with Robins, the Millers without.
Speaking to Barnsley’s Official Site, Robins said, ‘I’d been at Rotherham for nine years as player, youth team coach and manager, spending a large proportion of my working life there and the club will hold a place close to me for a long, long time. We had some good times there although it has been turbulent times. I am now looking forward to a new challenge.’
