Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, thought his team started brightly today but that the visitors ended up dictating the game.

Speaking to the Official Site he said, ‘At the start it looked like we could go three or four up, although they could have scored just after our goal, but they tried to put three up front and we looked frightened to come out. We have to be braver than that.

‘That early goal should have made us step up the gas and finish them off and although we had one or two chances we never threatened. Bruce Dyer’s touch let him down a little and Stephen Brogan had a chance to finish it off but we didn’t do it.

‘We have to be brighter from set pieces. I bet Jason Lee loved it as we kept putting the ball on his head. It’s frustrating for everyone.

‘There was only one team trying to play football. There were spells when we played OK but we got sucked into their game. County knocked the ball aimlessly up in the air to get behind us, and I’m not saying that’s wrong, but we just copied them.

‘There equaliser was two yards off side, I don’t know how the linesman didn’t see it. I had a word with the referee at half-time but he said it had gone, but that doesn’t help us.

It was a frustrating day and it looks like it’s back to the drawing board and carry on practicing.
