Rotherham United striker, Chris O’Grady scored in the Millers 2-1 over Grimsby on Saturday and he got praise from his manager, Mark Robins, who told The Star that he thought O’Grady was ‘excellent and it was a really good finish for the goal.’

Robins went on to say, ‘His all round contribution was good and he has all the attributes to make a top footballer. Though, he can frustrate too – not only me but the supporters.

‘They’ve seen what he can do and how he can do it and when he doesn’t quite hit the standards he’s set himself then people get disappointed.

‘In the second half against Grimsby, he went more central and did very well.’

The last time O’Grady started a game at Millmoor he ended up with a visit to the hospital and fourteen stitches in a head wound and his manager said, ‘It just goes to show what an excellent attitude he has when last week he volunteered to play, at Dagenham, with the stitches still in.’

Chris O’Grady was Vital Rotherham’s Man of the Match on Saturday.
