Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has brought in a replacement goalkeeper after Steve Cann’s injury will keep him out for four months.

Jamie Annerson played in last night’s Reserve defeat at Millmoor against Sheffield United, the team he has been loaned from.

Annerson, England U 19 International, has signed for three months.

Watching him last night, he pulled off some brilliant saves and, although he did let in four goals, in my opinion he can only be an asset to the club.

The Star are also saying that Robins is on the look out for another player, the possibility of him being a striker. Chris O’Grady has a slight back injury, although that wasn’t the reason he was substitued at half-time on Saturday. The manager said, ‘I brought Chris off because I just felt it wasn’t going to be his day. Derek Holmes and Chris were making the same movements and it didn’t look right. I decided to make the change then and put on Marc Newsham who I feel is a little bit different.

‘As a manager, you have to make these decisions and try and change things.’
