Rotherham United Manager Andy Scott told MillersPlayer that goalkeeper, Rhys Williams is here to ‘put himself in the shop window.’

The ‘keeper, who has already said he won’t be renewing his contract with Chelsea at the end of the season because he wants to be playing first team football, is here on an initial one months loan and kept a clean sheet in his first game last weekend against Bradford at Don Valley.

‘He’s come here to prove himself and get games,’ Scott said, ‘and, if he does well, then hopefully he’ll see what we are doing and see the new stadium and the ambition of the club and it could be something he wants to be part of. But while it’s an option for him and an option for us, both parties have got to do well for him and he’s got to do well for us.’
