Rotherham United striker Alex Revell says that the players have been training hard all week for this evening`s game against Preston North End.

‘We`re all excited,` the thirty-year old told MillersPlayer, ‘and with a massive prize at the end of it it`s something to look forward too.`

Alex was on the bench for Saturday`s win over Swindon Town but will be hoping for a starting place today but knows how competitive it will be.

‘We’ve got some really good strikers here,` Revs said, ‘you can see that by the amount of goals we`ve scored. Wes (Thomas) came in on Monday and scored two good goals, Hitch (Tom Hitchcock) has been looking good all season so there`s always pressure when you play up there. Whoever plays on Saturday you know full well if you don`t do your job then you won`t be in the team so we`ve all got to go out there and perform.`

The squad went paint-balling on Tuesday which Revs says was good for team-bonding (and actually said the man to watch out for there was Claude Davis!). ‘It was team work and we were helping each other out and it`s things like that we are going to need over the next week or so. It was a great day for everyone because it took your mind off things a little because it`s such a massive couple of weeks and it was nice just to relax before the hard work starts.

‘But all we can think about now is going to Preston and getting a result so we are still in the tie when we come back home.`
