Rotherham United striker, Alex Revell said that former caretaker Manager, Darren Patterson breathed ‘fresh air` into the team after he took over from the departing Andy Scott.

Speaking after the last gasp win on Monday afternoon at Don Valley, the former Brighton player told The Advertiser, ‘What he has done is put belief back into the team.

‘I got on well with the gaffer (Andy Scott) but sometimes all it needs is a change of face and everyone springs back into life. Darren wanted everyone to go out there and express themselves, being relaxed and playing to your best.`

Patto left the club on Tuesday after Steve Evans and Paul Raynor took over with the Millers having a glimmer of hope of reaching the play-offs.

Revell himself said about the play-offs, ‘Well if anyone slips up and we keep winning, you never know. Stranger things have happened and Darren Patterson has given us the belief that we can get in there.`
