Rotherham United Reserves finished the season with a home draw against Grimsby Town.

A young Millers side should have taken the lead just before the twenty minutes mark when a Brandon Potts ball found Jerry Yates who pulled it back for Kuda Muskwe only for him to shoot straight at Oakley Heath-Drury in the Mariners goal. Minutes later Yates himself had a shot that went wide before a Potts free-kick went just past the post.

Darnelle Bailey-King replaced Redmayne for the start of the second half and opened the scoring with almost his first touch of the game. A super cross from Potts found Bailey-King at the back post and he slot the ball home for the opening goal. And it perhaps should have been two when the roles were reversed and Bailey-King’s through ball found Potts but he shot straight into the waiting arms of Heath-Drury. Muskwe and Yates both had chances which were saved before a Potts corner found defender Saxton on the back post but his header was deflected beind. Heath-Drury then pulled off a fingertip save from a curling shot from Potts. With it looking like the Millers would get all three points the visitors snatched the equaliser with a late volley at the back post.
