The man in charge of our game at Spotland this weekend is…

Mick Russell from Hertfordshire

Mick started refereeing in the mid-nineties, progressing through the South Midlands League until 2000 when he was added to the National List of Assistant Referees. Four years later he was promoted to the National Referee’s list. He says the best game he has officiated in was on the final day of the 2006/7 season when Bristol City won promotion to the Championship at Ashton Gate – ‘a fantastic experience and atmosphere.’

Mick was in charge of our game at Peterborough last season when we lost 3-1 – Ryan Taylor got our consolation goal in the last minute of play.

In the seventeen games he has been in charge of this season, Mick has given out thirty-seven yellow and two red cards.

Assisting Mick will be

PE Curry from Northumberland and
D Handley from Lancashire

The fourth Official will be

I Nolan from Lancashire
