The man in charge of our game at Don Valley against Notts County on Saturday is…

Mr J Singh from Hounslow, Middlesex

Jarnail took up refereeing in 1985 after taking his exam in order to improve his frequent outings as club linesman for the youth team he managed and progressed through lower leagues in the Wolverhampton area and then into the Conference South regionally, before being appointed as a Football League assistant referee in 1999. He became a Football League Referee in 2004/5 season. In September 2008, Singh was suspended by the FA when he failed to stop a game between Shrewsbury and Bradford when Graeme Lee and TJ Moncur clashed heads leaving them both on the ground and a few minutes later Moncur seemed to suffer a fit as a direct result of the clash.

The last time Mr Singh was in charge of a Millers game was the 1-1 draw at Aldershot in the FA Cup earlier this season when a Micky Cummins goal in the 54th minute looked like taking the Millers into the next round before Mr Singh awarded a dubious penalty in the final minute of the game which John Grant put just beyond the fingertips of Andy Warrington.

So far this season, Mr Singh has been in charge of twenty games giving out seventy-three yellow and two red cards.

Supporting Mr Singh on Saturday will be

P Banks from Merseyside and
GS Stretton from Leicestershire

The fourth official is

KW Haycock from West Yorkshire
