The man in charge of our opener of the 2010/11 season is . . .
RL Shoebridge from Derbyshire
Rob progressed through the Central Midlands and Northern Premier Leagues and reached the National List of Assistant Referees in 2003. His first league game as a full Referee was at the start of the 2006/7 season.
The first time he was in charge of a Millers match was in August 2007 at Millmoor. Rotherham beat Peterborough 3-1 with two goals from Derek Holmes and one from Chris O’Grady all before half-time. Aaron McLean got the consolation for the visitors.
Last season, Rob was in charge of our game at Morecambe when the Millers went down two-nil. He booked just one player, Drewe Broughton from Rotherham, that day.
Last season, in the thirty-one games he was in charge of, Rob gave out sixty-nine yellow cards and just one red card, which was to Jeff Goulding of Bournemouth who came on as a seventieth minute sub and was promptly red carded one minute later.
