The Man in charge of our game on Saturday is . . .

NEIL SWARBRICK from Lancashire

Neil is one of the referee’s who, after starting the profession later in life than some, rose quickly through the ranks, taking just six years to get to the National List of Referee Assistants and another four to get promotion to the Referee’s List.

He was in charge of two games involving the Millers last season, the first at Don Valley, when Rotherham beat Wolves on penalties in Round Two of the Carling Cup and the last time was at Chester in March this year. The Millers went one down to a Kevin Ellison goal in fourteen minutes but a penalty from Reuben Reid and goals from Micky Cummins and Drewe Broughton gave the visitors a three-one lead at half-time. With Chester all but dead and buried, Reid went onto to complete his hat-trick in the second half. That day, infront of just 1,235 people, Neil Swarbrick booked Dale Tonge and Chester’s Jay Harris.

Helping Neil on Saturday at Don Valley will be

AH GREENWOOD from Yorkshire
DJ ROBERTS from Manchester

The Fourth Official will be

AN SMITH from West Yorkshire
