The man in charge of our trip to play Grimsby Town is . . .

ANDREW PENN of the West Midlands

Andrew qualified as a referee in 1986. He progressed through youth football and the West Midlands leagues and was promoted, as an assistant, to the football league in 1996. In 2002 he was promoted to the national list of referees. In 2004 he refereed both the Birmingham Senior Cup Final and the FA Vase semi final.

Mr Penn was the man in charge at our game earlier this year against MK Dons, when Danny Harrison equalised for the Millers after Kevin Gallen had put the Dons in front in the first half. The game will, of course, be most remembered for the terrible injury received by Stephen Brogan.

So far this season, Mr Penn has been in the middle for twenty-nine games, giving out 61 yellow cards and 6 red.

The two men who will be assisting Mr Penn are

SJ Ross of Lincolnshire
and
PI Thompson of Derbyshire

The fourth official is

N Murphy of Nottinghamshire
