The man in charge of our game on Saturday at Don Valley against the Mariners is . . .

EL Ilderton from Tyne and Wear

After having his playing career curtailed due to injury, Eddie was encouraged by his father to become a referee and he began refereeing in the Northern Alliance and Northern Leagues. Eddie has been on the National List of Referees since 2002 and in 2003 he was in the middle for the UEFA Regions’ Cup Final and also an FA Trophy semi-final.

Eddie was in charge of the Millers game at Morecambe in March 2008 when we were trounced 5-1. Jon Newbey scored a hat-trick in thirty-three minutes and goals from Matthew Blinkhorn and Craig Stanley made it five. Mark Hudson got the Millers’ consolation goal. The only yellow card that day was given to Peter Holmes.

So far this season, Eddie has been in charge of twenty-one games and has given out fifty-nine yellow and four red cards.

Running the line on Saturday will be

R Bartlett from Cheshire and
GC Laws from Leicestershire

The Fourth Official will be

C Akers from South Yorkshire
