Rotherham United’s Assistant Manager Paul Raynor said that the Millers were ‘comfortable’ in their four-nil win at Ilkeston last night.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the game, Rayns said, ‘We dominated the game for nearly the ninety minutes and it was a good workout. We limited Ilkeston, who were a very hard working young side, to a couple of shots on goal but we created lots of opportunities though I think we are still a bit rusty in the final third.’

Saying that it was always the plan to play the eleven who didn’t get a game on Tuesday night against Bolton, Paul particularly praised young Nicky Walker who scored two goals saying although he thought he was a bit ‘shy’ in the first half of getting into the box but was pleased that he listened to the advice given him at half-time and he did well in the second half.

‘Nearly everyone in the squad has got ninety minutes under their belts now. We’ll be looking at different formations during the pre-season and, as people know, we won’t be afraid of changing it if we feel its needs it.

‘One of the most important things is that we’ve no knocks and no injuries to report which is a major plus for us.’
