Rotherham United get to play Championship side Leicester City in the first round of the Carling Cup at the beginning of August, which will be the third time the two sides have met in this competition – with the Millers winning three games – one being over two legs.

The first time was in the first season of the competition when the Millers beat the Foxes 2-1, at Filbert Street, on their way to the Final

The last time was in the 1979/80 season when the League Cup was a two-legged affair and the Millers won both legs – 2-1 at Filbert Street and 3-0 at Millmoor.

So, on past performances, dare we say ‘bring on Round Two`?!
