Rotherham United make their first league game away trip of the season this evening when they travel to Sixfields to take on Northampton Town.
The Millers go into this game on the back of a three-nil win while the Cobblers came away from Rochdale with a goalless draw.
Aidy Boothroyd – Rotherham are a club that is almost a phoenix rising from the flames – new ground, new investment, new manager and lots of new players – and are one of the favourites to go up. It will be difficult but it is a game where we can gauge our development. We know they are a strong side and we’ll have to deal with what they bring but we have to make sure we give them a few things to think about. I’ve only come across Steve Evans once but I mostly get on with all managers. We are all very passionate and all want to win.
Steve Evans – We know what we will be getting at Northampton because they have big, physical players and the ball will be in the air a lot and it will be coming from every angle at every opportunity. Physically, I think, it will be our toughest, most competitive match of the season and if we don’t match them physically it can be trouble but I have confidence in my players.
