Rotherham United are looking for their third Manager of the season after the club first sacked Alan Stubbs before Kenny Jackett resigned after just five games.

Over the last week there’s been a number of names bandied about in the press, on social media, amongst the fans and today The Sack Race is suggesting that Steven Pressley is heading the betting.

Former centre-back Pressley spent all his playing career in his homeland Scotland and in 2005 was joint manager of Heart of Midlothian.

He was then Assistant Manager at Falkirk before 2010 saw him become Manager. IN March 2013 Steven moved over the border to Coventry City before being sacked in February 2015.

After eight months out of the game, although he did do some scouting work for Southampton, Pressley was appointed Manager of Fleetwood Town but resigned in July this year.

And, according to The Sack Race Paul Warne, who is the current stand-in Manager, Phil Brown and Nigel Adkins are also in the favourites list to take over the helm at the New York Stadium.

I’m not sure how the Millers fans would take to someone who hasn’t managed in the Championship taking over but, I would imagine, there aren’t a lot of Managers out there putting their CV’s in.
