According to a press release on the Official Site a number of people have expressed an interest in buying the club. BUT, as yet, no formal negotiations have been entered into with any party. It is also thought that there are other people interested who have yet to contact Jeremy Bleazard, the Administrator.

Since Mr Bleazard was appointed on 18 March, a number of staff have been made redundant and the remaining staff have been asked to take a wage deferral. The players and coaching staff have also been asked to take similar deferrals and, although the PFA have yet to agree, it is thought they will be accepted.

Mr Bleazard said, ‘Cashflows have been prepared until the end of the season but even with the redundancies and wage deferrals it remains extremely tight until a purchaser can be found or someone is willing to fund trading.

‘I have had positive meetings with Supporters Trust members and Rotherham Council who have both offered assistance in saving the club.

‘I would like to urge fans and businesses to get behind the club during these difficult times.

‘I am hopeful that this great club can be saved.’
