Rotherham United may have to put pre-season training on hold for a while, as it was revealed, in the Dinnington Today, that the Hooton Lodge training ground and dressing rooms have been flooded.

Environmental Inspectors are due to visit the ground today and it may be that the club need to find alternative training facilities and they have been looking at local schools.

Assistant Manager, John Breckin, says ‘before we do anything, we have to make sure that there is no health risks – we are waiting for advice. The dressing rooms are in a bit of a mess, but we know there are people out there a lot worse than us.’

The players are due to return next Thursday and Breckin said, ‘All the lads will be in next week and we will be running the socks of them. It’s a set back we could have done without but as we only do fitness in the first three weeks, it won’t have a bit impact on us.’
