Rotherham United groundsman, Jim Davison is expecting the pitch at the Millers temporary home, Don Valley Stadium, to be much improved next season.

Work began on the much talked about pitch after the Millers’ play-off game against Aldershot last Wednesday night with Jim telling The Star that he believes the standard of surface will be far better than it has proved to be this season.

The pitch at Wembley has also come in for criticism and Rotherham will be able to go and inspect it on Friday although not train on it, due to the League One Play-Off Final being played there on Saturday.
