26 October 2014

On this day last year Steve Evans was looking back at the day before’s game against Brighton and Hove Albion and admitting that he got the first fifteen minutes wrong when he started Jordan Bowery on the right before switching him up front. The game ended one-all. Alex Revell scored the Millers equaliser (his third in three) and the Millers Boss said ‘we love him’ and berated the fans who kept knocking the striker.

The Millers suffered their second away defeat of the season on this day in 2013, losing one-nil to top of the table Leyton Orient.
After the game Steve Evans said ‘we are lacking a goal scorer’.

Three years ago today Goalkeeper Andy Warrington was telling us that although he felt sorry for his fellow ‘keeper Scott Shearer he was going to grab any chance he got with both hands.

Meanwhile defender Dale Tonge said that Steve Evans is different to any other manager he has ever worked with.

On this day in 2006 Stoke City were the visitors at Millmoor in a League One game. Richie Barker opened the scoring on fifteen minutes with Alan Lee doubling the score five minutes before half-time.
