Two years ago then Millers Manager, Neil Warnock, was talking about the March Manager of the Month award he’d received before the game two days earlier. Neil said, ‘This award isn`t just for me, it’s for everyone at the club and that goes from the Chairman down to the cleaners. The award really is for everyone at the club and the fans have played a huge part in the results that we have picked up.’

On this day in 2015 the Millers lost away at Middlesbrough by two goals to nil.
After the game then Manager Steve Evans said he was taking the pluses from the game saying he thought his team had a good shape and had good energy levels.
It was also on this day that Derby County recalled defender Farrend Rawson.

Four years ago striker Alex Revell was reflecting on the recent loss against Sheffield United saying, ‘It’s important that we get better again at the big game experience and take it into the play-offs because, whoever you play, it’s going to be a big occasion.’
Steve Evans said that he believed an automatic place had now gone and was making plans for the play-offs.

On this day in 2013 the Millers injury situation seemed to be getting better. The week before Rotherham had to recall midfielder Mitch Rose from his loan spell with Stamford and also had a young Danny Rowe on the bench. But it was hoped that Claude Davis and Mark Bradley would be fit and ready for the next game.

It was on this day is 2009 that the Millers played Notts County at Don Valley. Rotherham went into the lead a minute before half-time with a Mark Hudson goal. The lead was doubled on sixty-nine minutes when Reuben Reid scored his tenth of the season. Ex-Millers, Jonathan Forte got one back for the visitors fifteen minutes from time.

Meanwhile, there were a few clubs watching the Millers` only real asset at the time, ‘keeper Mark Oxley, who had been called up to play for the England U18 side.
‘Under normal circumstances we would not let him go,’ Mark Robins said, ‘but, with the situation like it is, we need the money.`
Talking about Chris O`Grady, who had refused to sign a wage deferral, Robins said that he would not let the striker leave for nothing, saying, ‘even though the transfer window has closed deals can still be agreed.`

Racism raised its ugly head at Millmoor on this day in 2007 years ago after it was discovered that Gillingham had lodged a complaint with the FA over an incident the weekend before. Gillingham’s goalkeeper, Kelvin Jack, complained to referee, Steve Bratt, over his treatment from a minority of Millers supporters in the Tivoli. Jack was able to identify the main culprit and the club issued a life time ban on the fan.
Speculation was rife over who Mark Robins would get as his second in command, with John Breckin`s name being top of most peoples list.

Twenty years ago the Millers entertained Swansea City at Millmoor. Julian Alsop put the visitors in front on the seventeenth minute with Gary Martindale equalising four minutes before half-time for Rotherham in this Division Three game.
