Rotherham United’s Nostalgia Society meet on Thursday, 13th May at The Green Dragon Pub at Kimberworth.

This months guest speaker is former centre-forward Alan Gilliver

Born in Rotherham, Alan began his career with Huddersfield Town, scoring twenty-two goals in forty-five appearances for them. He then played two seasons with Blackburn Rovers before Tommy Docherty brought him back home in 1968. He played one season for the Millers, scoring just two goals, before moving on to Brighton, Lincoln and Stockport. In the mid-seventies he played a few games in the North American Soccer League for Baltimore Comets before coming back to England and joining Boston United. His career ended in 1979 with two games for Bradford City.

The meeting starts at 8.30pm and ALL are welcome.
