Rotherham United midfielder David Noble led the praise for striker Kayode Odejayi after the Nigerian striker scored the opening goal on Tuesday night to help the Millers win over Bristol Rovers.

Kayode started the evening on the bench with Kieran Agard being preferred up front with Alex Revell.

Speaking to The Star, Noble said, ‘He`s a great guy. He came on scored and set one up. The man is a monster on his day and he took his chance very well.`

And it all could have been so different. The thirty-year old joined the Millers in the summer scoring two goals in his first three league starts. Since then he`s had a bit of a baron spell although he`s now twice come off the bench in recent games to score.

Perhaps not getting as much game time as he really wanted, Kayode had the chance to join Tranmere Rovers last month but he declined saying that he had unfinished business with the Millers.

Saying that every game is massive now, Noble carried on, ‘We`re third with a game in hand. I think we`re all doing as much as we can and the effort at Bristol was superb.`
