Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott is hopeful that goalkeeper, Rhys Taylor will be available for the visit to Barnet tomorrow while Gareth Evans is stepping up his training.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Scott said, ‘Rhys hyper-extended his elbow against Gillingham and got some inflammation in it. It`s settled down quickly and did some light training on Tuesday and we are confident he will be fit and available.

‘Gareth is training with the Youth team for a couple of days to ease him back into it. Initially we are looking towards him taking part in the reserve game next Wednesday and get an hour under his belt or hopefully more and see where we go from there. Obviously his first couple of days back training will be a key to how he reacts and his body reacts. He`s put a lot of work in and with the time it`s taken hopefully he`ll be OK to go back into it. We`ve built his work up until he`s a hundred per cent in the pace he`s running and we are hoping to get him back involved so we can get ten or twelve games out of him. We`ve missed him because he was fantastic at the beginning of the season. Since he`s been injured it`s coincided with a bit of downturn in our form and we need to get him back on the pitch and playing as well as he was at the start of the season.

‘He`s frustrated that it`s taken as long as it has but he understands that we needed to get to the crux of the problem, which we`ve done, and want him to be right to play.`
