Rotherham United defender, Marc Joseph, played for around thirty minutes of a reserve game yesterday afternoon, says The Star, after suffering from a kidney infection over the last week.

Joseph, who missed the pre-season friendly at the weekend against Hartlepool, has had to have a course of antibiotics to counteract the infection.

Manager, Mark Robins, said, ‘We gave him an half an hour run out with the reserves yesterday to re-introduce him steadily and to see how he coped. He’s been doing some training and wanted to play.

‘We will now keep an eye on him.’

Depending on how he is feeling, he could be in contention for a start against Hereford on Saturday. If not, Craig Fleming would be available.
