Rotherham United`s New York Stadium is now ahead of schedule.

With the weather holding out (remember this time last year?!) the ground is now set to be finished by 7th July next year, four days ahead of the original date – which will please the fans, the club and, no doubt, the Football League.

As the ‘New York` name is still being queried by some fans, the club are likely to consider a suggestion that one of the stands is called ‘The Tivoli` – a name that had a significant meaning for many fans at Millmoor.

Maybe a nice gesture would be to have an on-site pub/bar at the ground called ‘The Tivoli` too – ‘The Tivoli, New York` sounds good to me.
