Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, hopes to fetch in someone with experience to play alongside the Youth in the team.

‘I would like to bring in someone who has some years behind him,’ Robins told The Star,

‘It’s not as though the rest of the lads I have brought in are untried or novices, they do have varying amounts of first team appearances behind them.

‘I know what sort of player we need; the type I’d like. We need someone to help make us more solid but I also know that a lot of clubs will be chasing the same players.’

Robins has already brought in two mid-field players in Andy Todd and Danny Harrison and also Dale Tonge can play in that position too which will counteract the expected departure of Martin Woods and the departure of Michael Keane.

‘We have moved quickly so far and have put a lot of work in,’ continued Robins, ‘and I am delighted with what we’ve done so far. I think the next one will be the key signing.’
