Both Rotherham MP, Denis MacShane and Rother Valley MP, Kevin Barron have been talking about the Millers move to Don Valley.

Mr Barron, a Millers fan for more than fifty years, told The Star, ‘I will still be getting a season ticket and going to watch the team at Don Valley, even though I think it is a poor alternative.

‘Rotherham United have to stay in business and it seems a move is the only way to do this but I had hoped we could stay in Rotherham. Hopefully, we will soon get a community stadium and this will only be a temporary move.’

Mr MacShane said, ‘The ideal solution would be a purpose built stadium with plenty of car parking and better facilities for the fans. Until that happens I am sure they will make a success of being at Don Valley and after the eternal doubts over Mr Booths support and commitment it is better that the Millers future is assured.’

Surely, if anyone can get the council moving on the plans for a new stadium in Rotherham, these two can?
