Rotherham United defender Craig Morgan enjoyed his back-to-back promotions with Peterborough so much he`s hoping to get himself established with the Millers and do the same with them.

Speaking to The Star the Welsh International said, ‘It`s great when you experience promotions. Knowing what was happening here (Rotherham) I wanted a chance to be part of it, even though there were other clubs after me.`

Craig was let go by Preston North End in August after undergoing surgery for a double hernia in July and says, regarding fitness, there is still a lot to come from him.

Speaking about the Millers squad, the twenty-seven year old said, ‘ I’ve been in squads where people don`t get on but these are a real good bunch of guys. I’ve played against Ian (Sharps) in the past and know what he`s about. He`s a good communicator and it`s important to form an understanding together. You don`t get successive clean sheets away from home without good understanding at the back.`

Craig joined the Millers at the beginning of last month and has made six appearances, which include three clean sheets.
