Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore said he was ‘well pleased` with his team in the game last night.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the shortened 2-1 loss to Championship Leicester City, Moore said, ‘I thought it was a fantastic workout.

‘For ten or fifteen minutes it was difficult for our lads but they got to grips with it and created one or two little chances which was nice, so, as a training session I think it`s been fantastic. I thought we knocked it about well and all the new lads did well

‘Leicester`s system of play is difficult but we`ve had one or two decent chances in the game. Danny`s (Harrison) got in twice and on another day he`ll score. I`ve just had a go at Tom (Elliott), he needs to be a little bit more greedy but he`s still young.

‘I was disappointed in the goals we`ve conceded and it was a pity it ended like it did with the floodlights going off.

New boy, Ryan Cresswell, was given the skippers armband last night, but Moore said he hadn`t made his mind up, yet, who the captain was going to be this season. ‘We`ve got one or two who are all leaders. Cresswell`s got what we are looking for but Nick Fenton has a lot of experience as well. Tom Newey and John Mullin are talkers but Cress had it today but we will have to wait and see.

‘Johnny Mullin has picked up an injury but we hope he`ll be OK for Saturday. The rest of the lads are as fit as hell and we just need to take that forward now into the games.`
