Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says the crowd have to be patient as he and his team were booed off at Don Valley last night following a one all draw with Macclesfield Town.

Speaking after the game to MillersPlayer, Moore thought his team were a bit better last night than at Southend at the weekend saying, ‘I think we got side tracked trying to win the game and we`ve got to be patient, not just us but the crowd as well.

‘We kept the ball well enough but the tempo of the game wasn`t enough to hurt them (Macclesfield). Pace hurts people and we haven`t got enough pace in the side and not putting enough crosses in the box and without that you aren`t going too many games, are you.

‘There`s still a long way to go, though we are playing catch-up which I don`t really want to do but we are capable. I just don`t know what it is with them what with the tempo of the game not being quick enough. I mean, what have they had, two shots? Woggy (Andy Warrington) spilt one from fifty yards and then they scored the goal. But, when it`s like that you do have to be patient and you do have to move the ball quicker but the wingers aren`t getting enough service, the full backs only joined in later on which was disappointing and the two strikers have to be cleverer than they were tonight. They have to move into different areas so we can get balls to their feet.

‘It wasn`t a good performance, there`s no doubt about that. It wasn`t good enough, it wasn`t sharp enough and maybe we need to bring a couple in because we need a ball playing midfielder and we need a bit of pace somewhere else as well.

‘I think we need to put a list out and get one or two out and get one or two in sharpish, someone with pace and directness who can take people on. We`ve got a list of people who`s got pace but it`s getting them out of their clubs and getting a good deal for our club.

‘We know what`s wrong and we need to put it right.
