Rotherham United Goalkeeper, Jamie Annerson hasn`t had a lot of opportunity to play with the first team since joining the Millers from Sheffield United sixteen months ago. But that might change tomorrow as Manager, Ronnie Moore is thinking of giving Andy Warrington a rest and letting Jamie play against Burton Albion in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Moore said, ‘Because of Andy Warrington`s form, fitness and consistency, Jamie hasn`t had much opportunity in a first team setting.

‘He played against Lincoln in the last round, but didn`t have that much to do so tomorrow night might be more of a test for him.

‘He`s been playing well in the reserves recently, he was confident and took command in his area and his all round game was good.`

Jamie started his career at Bramall Lane and while with the Blades earned England Under 19 caps. While there, he had two loan spells with the Millers and also went on loan to Mansfield and Chesterfield.
