Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has made no secret of the fact that he wants to bring in his ‘own’ players for the campaign next season and ‘freshen’ things up.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Moore said, ‘Time doesn’t stand still.

‘I’ve thanked all the players for their efforts this season and although it was soul destroying on Sunday, we can’t spend the rest of the summer feeling sorry for ourselves.

‘Players are out of contract and perhaps it’s time to build a new team. Of the twelve of them whose contracts are up, not all of them will be here come pre-season. I know who is going and it’s just a matter of telling them now.

‘I need to cut the size of the squad to eighteen or nineteen but not going up to League One does alter things a bit.’

Moore says there hasn’t been an offer for striker Adam Le Fondre saying, ‘I won’t be upset if the phone doesn’t ring about Alf.’
