Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has been saying for a while that he’s looking for a central midfielder and/or defender to bolster his team.

As we said on Vital, yesterday, we understand he is keeping an eye on Andy Butler who is currently without a club after leaving Huddersfield in the summer. He has recently had a trial with Rochdale and it’s thought that Moore was there on Tuesday night to watch him play a Reserve game.

It’s also thought that Moore is also very interested in fetching back nineteen year old Gavin Gunning from Blackburn who was also playing in the Reserve game, for Rovers, on Tuesday.

Gunning impressed while on loan with the Millers last season, playing his final game at Wembley in the Play-Off Final.

I’d be very happy to have Gavin Gunning back in the squad.
