Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is still on a mission to strengthen his squad as the transfer window gets ever near to closing.

Speaking to the Press Association Sport, Moore said, ‘We have put a circular out and we are still waiting to hear back from one or two players and, if that happens, then fair enough. If that doesn’t happen then I’ve spoken to the Chairman and he has given permission for me to go and bring in anyone who I think will strengthen the squad.’

Asked what positions he is looking to filling, Moore answered, ‘Defensively I could do with another full-back and probably another wide player with pace.’

If the rumours are true about Port Vale Manager, Jim Gannon, coming to watch Tom Pope in a recent reserve game, then the Millers could well be looking out for another striker too.
