Rotherham United fans were calling for Manager, Ronnie Moore’s head during and after the 2-0 defeat at Morecambe this afternoon.

Yet another lack lustre display from the Millers and the fourth loss on the trot was enough to send the fans over the edge.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield Moore said, ”It`s alright for the crowd moaning for me to go, fine, but the guy who picked up the man for the first goal went to sleep and he scores – and that`s Ronnie Moore`s fault. They take a free kick, which was never on, that`s Ronnie Moore`s fault. We give the ball away when Alfie turns, that`s my fault. Well, hold on a minute, give me a bit of stick when it`s warranted that`s what I`m saying and judge me when I`ve picked the team with MY players who will come and work their socks off for this club. That`s when you judge me, not today. It annoys me that supporters are quick to turn but the performances haven`t been good and, when the performances aren`t good it`s the manager who get`s the stick. That`s how it is but have a little bit of faith for me.

‘Sometimes the players have to take responsibility. In the dressing room, me Jimmy, Dibbs and Warney all talk in there but the players are so quiet it`s untrue. After a gutless performance like that today, I`d just love one or two of them to have a pop at each other – that’s what professional players do.

‘We know it’s hard when you see a performance like todays but we’re asking the fans to get behind us.’
