Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore was asked by Radio Sheffield about how easy it had been for him to come to Rotherham United and take over a team that wasn`t his

‘It is difficult,` Moore said. ‘The expectations there is when you come to a club who are third in the league were hard and probably gave me a bit more pressure than I needed.

‘And the achievement from the players has been magnificent. When you look at the Doncaster training, the Sheffield playing and the offices in Rotherham – well. You think of Man United doing it and I think Fergie would have a lot to do to get them promoted to be honest. It is difficult but I think it`s been a tremendous achievement from us so far.

‘The Chairman has shown his ambition. How many second division clubs are going to spend two million pounds on two strikers?

‘So, you`ve got a Chairman with ambition and a manager who gets the backing and we are both singing from the same hymn book and we both know what we want for the club. So, I honestly believe that somebody is going to take the club forward with the backing of the Chairman and I can`t see any reason why that can`t be me.`
