Rotherham United fans breathed a sigh of relief when we were told that defender Pablo Mills had put pen to paper and signed a new deal with the club earlier this week.

After asking for time to mull things over, Mills told The Advertiser, ‘I needed a bit of time to think where I wanted to be. I have belief in my own ability and want to play at the highest level.

‘But one of the reasons I signed is the gaffer. He has high hopes and we know what to expect from each other.

‘I’m sore that we aren’t at Wembley in the play off final this weekend and next season we want to go further.

‘Now I’ve got things sorted I’m looking forward to my summer and thinking about next season.’

Manager, Mark Robins, said, ‘Pablo had alternatives and at one stage I thought he might be going elsewhere but he came in and we had a chat about the stability and future of the club and I’m very pleased that he decided to stay.’

Robins has said that he is after four or five new players with a striker being one of his top priorities.
