Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore thought he had re-signed Danny Coid from Blackpool for his second spell at the club yesterday, but it wasn’t to be.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, ‘It’s a funny situation with Danny. It looked like everything was sorted yesterday. I spoke to Danny and to his agent and one minute the physio at Blackpool thinks he’s match fit and can join in but then, late last night, Danny phoned me and said he didn’t think he was quite match fit and would like to maybe come in Monday.

‘So, I need to have a think about that. Because if we can only have him for a month anyway and we are going to be a week getting him fit then it’s disappointing. We basically had two full-backs coming in to play in the game tomorrow then all of a sudden the plugs been pulled.

‘The thing is we’d got two or three lined up but we know Coidy really well and we like him and he was desperate to come. There’s a lot of clubs who are after him so it’s a sickner that it hasn’t worked out the way we planned.’
